Product Marketing Manager Intern, Instagram (MBA)

We are investing in making Instagram an essential platform for businesses, brands and creators. Marketers and people have shown interest in doing more on Instagram, whether learning about a new brand, shopping for products or downloading a mobile app. Instagram is looking for a Product Marketing summer intern to support the team in developing our business and product strategy, managing our go-to-market plans and coordinating a cross-functional team to bring great product solutions to businesses, creators and the community. The ideal candidate will have a multi-disciplinary background—including business strategy and strong analytical and communication skills —and be passionate about Instagram. This is a 12 week summer intern position.


  • Partner with product and engineering teams to help develop the product strategy and enhance our product solutions
  • Lead market and competitive assessments, and represent the customer (sellers and creators) by surfacing qualitative and quantitative insights to shape product direction, identify product investment opportunities and ensure product-market fit
  • Help define and execute the go-to-market strategy for new and existing products and collaborate with the cross-functional team, including marketing, communications and partnerships counterparts to execute
  • Communicate clearly and influence product and engineering leadership to make key product investments

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, an MBA degree
  • Experience creating structured frameworks to evaluate problems, synthesizing analysis and presenting/communicating recommendations
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive result
  • Analytical experience and/or coursework
  • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op
  • Experience in any of the following spaces: social media, e-commerce, digital ads, creator/influencer/affiliate space, SMB business products, entertainment industry, talent agency or, PR/publicity.
  • Previous experience with business strategy, product/brand marketing, product management experience and/or has demonstrated significant leadership experience
