Global Director, Integrated Marketing

Instagram is looking for an experienced marketing leader with a passion for building global brands and proven experience developing and executing insights-driven marketing campaigns and plans. In this role, you will be the bridge across global and regional consumer marketing teams, responsible for the development and execution of large scale consumer campaigns across the world working with local teams to ensure local relevance and execution with excellence. This is a foundational role within the Instagram global marketing organization, and will play a critical role in the global development of the Instagram brand. The ideal candidate will have strategic consumer marketing experience, developing cross-functional partnerships and running multi-channel campaigns and programs for a high-profile brand, within the consumer tech or CPG industries, or at an integrated creative or media agency. International experience and knowledge about diverse cultural, social and business landscapes is crucial. You will be expected to apply analytical rigor, a deep understanding of consumer and country-level market dynamics, and the right mix of brand and product knowledge to deliver effective marketing plans that truly move the needle. To be successful at Instagram, you need to embrace the hacker ethos: an ability to move fast, iterate and always be adding value. The successful candidate will need to be tenacious and open, creative and analytical. This person must be able to connect the dots between the business and product strategy with the brand strategy, extract true insights and translate into inspiring briefs that spark world class creative. They must have a proven ability to use data to identify insights and build compelling stories, ask and answer different and difficult questions, inspire and support teams with data, evaluate work, learn and adapt quickly. This is a full-time global leadership role and will report to the Vice President of Marketing, Instagram.


  • Develop, manage, and grow a team of integrated marketers for Instagram
  • Develop, manage and support the execution of integrated marketing communications efforts that encompass a 360 approach across various channels (digital, social, traditional media, etc.) to support key narratives and impact stories
  • Define and manage comprehensive outbound marketing strategy and planning including segmentation, targeting, market sizing, media and communications plan, roll-out strategy, and integration with PR
  • Lead and collaborate with a multitude of cross-functional stakeholders to deliver world-class marketing campaigns and programs
  • Track performance of campaigns to provide data-backed insights to optimize campaigns and find new opportunity areas
  • Ensure all efforts are based on solid hypothesis design and are structured to deliver against clear success metrics, utilizing a test-and-learn approach
  • Partner closely with brand strategy and creative teams to bring strategy to life through quality creative
  • Lead market assessment, quantitative analysis, and qualitative feedback and represent our users internally
  • Build strong collaborative relationships and alliances with key internal and external teams and partners to prioritize and establish the team’s roadmap, delivering against clearly defined brand objectives while ensuring positive and productive team environments

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15 or more years of experience with marketing communications, consumer products, brand marketing, or brand management
  • 8 or more years of experience with team leadership, cross-functional team leadership, leadership, or team management
  • Experience building mass-market consumer technology and/or hardware brands
  • Experience developing and executing large-scale or global integrated marketing campaigns (online/offline advertising, web, events), including experience with both brand-building and acquisition marketing initiatives
  • Experience partnering with external companies (partners, agencies, vendors, retailers), as well as executive and cross-functional leadership
  • Experience partnering with product management, product design, and other cross-functional teams to drive business results
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing consumer research and data to drive actionable insights to inform marketing strategy and improve the consumer experience
  • Experience influencing effectively cross-functionally across all levels of management including VP and C-suite
  • Experience managing multiple campaigns simultaneously, and working with many different internal and external teams to ensure we are launching our programs seamlessly and to the highest impact
  • Bachelor's Degree
