Product Design Manager, Instagram - Creator Success

Menlo Park, CA | New York, NY | San Francisco, CA

We’re seeking an experienced Product Design Manager to lead the team that makes Instagram the first choice home for creators. You will be essential in growing an incredible team of designers while managing a broad portfolio of features while elevating and ensuring the simplicity and craft of the work. You will need to be experienced with identifying opportunities in an ambiguous space to make Instagram’s creator experience first-class.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a team of collaborative product designers that delivers simple, well-crafted designs to address true creator needs
  • Lead decisions for Instagram's creator success initiatives with cross-functional partners
  • Turn broad, conceptual ideas into useful and valuable products for our creators
  • Proactively solicit and provide feedback from leaders and a broader product team in order to improve our products and raise our quality bar
  • Be responsible for overall team performance and health, resource allocation, project prioritization, and design simplicity and craft.
  • Collaborate with other teams across Instagram and cross-functional partners to efficiently align on simple solutions
  • Effectively communicate your team's product goals and connect related projects across the company.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Design
  • 4+ years of people management, team development, and recruiting experience
  • 8+ years of experience working collaboratively with product, engineering, design, content and user research teams
  • Experience representing and communicating work to leaders and a broader product team
  • Demonstration of craft and visual design polish in their portfolio and the work of the team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with delivering 0-1 products from concept stages to launch
  • Experience working on large scale, complex, ambiguous projects across multiple teams
