The Product Data Operations (PDO) team trains and refines the efficacy of machine learning algorithms across our family of apps and products. As a Manager on the PDO team for Instagram, you are responsible for managing a team of Product Data Operations Project Managers who partner with Instagram product, engineering, data science, partnerships and vendor partners to improve product features and user experience for Instagram products (e.g. Reels, Shopping, Search, Creators, etc.). Making Instagram better by minimizing bad experiences and shaping a healthy public content ecosystem is an important company priority you’ll directly impact in this role. You will be required to showcase excellent leadership, people management, project management, problem solving, and communication across a highly cross-functional stakeholder base. Specifically, this role will lead a team that designs labeling processes and protocols, including machine learning, measurement, data annotation. They also increases operational maturity across our labeling programs; ensuring metrics remain above agreed upon targets and partners with cross-functional stakeholders to set up and scale labeling experiments consistent with privacy, legal, policy, and communication guidance. The team drafts labeling guidelines, establishes tooling setup, conducts rater training and management and insights development and works with our partners to ramp up/down projects.
