Creator Marketing Lead, Shopping (Instagram)

On Instagram, shopping is one of the many ways that people connect with each other and the brands and products they love. With over 25 million businesses using Instagram and a strong community of content creators and influencers, people are coming to Instagram to get inspired and discover new products. We're looking for a dynamic candidate to join Instagram's creator marketing team, to lead support of Instagram's shopping product suite. This role will be focused on helping digital creators, artists & public figures grow their brand and build their business through Instagram Shopping. In this role, you will support our growing portfolio of products and help demonstrate the value of Instagram Shopping to an audience of creators, artists, & public figures. You will be responsible for leading a team to develop positioning, messaging & marketing materials that support key product launches. You will be able to design, execute and activate programs across a large-scale partnerships organization, and scale marketing campaigns to the broader creator community. You will have a strong ability to bring products to life through creative storytelling, and have a demonstrated ability to work across matrixed, cross-functional teams. Previous experience working across a global organization that moves quickly and flexing for the needs of different markets would be ideal.   • Lead growing creator commerce marketing team, overseeing strategic marketing plans and execution of programs & campaigns
  • Oversee creator commerce narrative, positioning, & thought leadership for a suite of products, including messaging & enablement for a global partnerships team
  • Develop long-term marketing strategy that drives product awareness and adoption, working across Facebook & Instagram orgs to coordinate efforts
  • Partner with cross-functional marketing teams across Facebook & Instagram to scale and amplify programs to the broader creator community
  • Partner with Instagram partnerships team on programs and activations to educate and support managed partners and creators
  • Manage internationalization of marketing efforts to drive ongoing adoption and awareness for Instagram among global creators

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree (or equivalent professional experience)
  • 8+ years of experience in e-commerce marketing and/or relevant marketing, product marketing, or business experience
  • Experience leading a team and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Experience developing and writing product positioning and key messages to support product adoption
  • Experience in e-commerce, affiliate marketing or artist/creator merchandising
  • Knowledge of influencer marketing, branded content and/or e-commerce
  • Experience with product launches and digital marketing campaigns
  • Experience developing narratives & thought leadership programs for an industry audience
  • Experience with collaboration and communication skills, with demonstrated talent at building partnerships with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, scrappy environment ensuring executional excellence while maintaining a long-term strategic view
  • Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
  • Interest in the creator economy and helping creators
  • Experience working as a marketing manager on a technical product or platform
