We are investing in making Instagram an essential platform for businesses and brands. Marketers and people have shown interest in doing more on Instagram, whether learning about a new brand, shopping for products or downloading a mobile app. Since opening up our platform to self-serve advertising in markets around the world, introducing new ad formats and objectives to deliver performance, and building native organic tools for businesses of any size to take advantage of, we have seen over two million monthly advertisers come to Instagram and twenty-five million business profiles proliferate in our community. Beneath the platform that drives Instagram is a shared foundation of developer experiences, tools, APIs, and SDKs. This foundation gives developers and businesses access to the tools needed to manage their presence on Instagram. Instagram is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to support the Instagram Core Ads Platform team, which builds our Instagram APIs, Payments, and Measurement products. This individual will be responsible for shaping the overall API and payments strategic direction, defining our go-to-market strategy, and identifying new opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate will have a multi-disciplinary background - including business strategy, product marketing and analytical skills, and have some experience with developer ecosystems or strong technical aptitude and curiosity - and be passionate about Instagram. They will also be flexible and comfortable working in a cross-functional capacity within a fast-paced, often ambiguous, start-up environment.

  • Drive product-market fit by synthesizing market feedback and industry reports, analyzing data, conducting competitive assessments, engaging in customer research, and/or executing alpha/beta tests to create business cases that drive engineering or business investment
  • Drive effective product launches and grow market adoption: You will lead and grow market adoption of our platform products by people, businesses, and developers. You will coordinate and communicate the rollout of new products and features both internally and externally, collaborating with our developer, marketing, and PR teams to create product positioning and materials
  • Prioritize and execute effectively: This is a team that moves at high velocity. You will need strong prioritization skills to drive multiple initiatives simultaneously, build holistic project plans, and ensure accountability across partners
  • Lead large, cross-functional teams with excellent communication and collaboration: You will work closely with partner teams across Instagram and Facebook Inc. to build alignment and consensus with partners. You will effectively influence teams’ prioritization through mental models and framework alignment
  • Ramp quickly on new topics: Your work will evolve as the platform and strategic opportunities shift. You will need to come up to speed quickly on new areas, and be able to deeply understand technical concepts while translating them simply to diverse audiences internally and externally
  • Anticipate escalations and resolve them quickly and effectively: You will work closely with Privacy, Legal, and other product teams across Instagram and Facebook to maintain integrity and regulatory compliance. When issues arise, you’ll rally internal stakeholders to see them through to resolution
