Policy Programs Manager, Instagram (APAC)

Instagram seeks an experienced Policy Programs Manager to lead our public policy programs in the Asia Pacific region. In this role, you will be part of the Instagram Public Policy team, and be responsible in the region for designing, implementing, and scaling programs that support these goals while deepening people’s understanding of the Instagram’s policy efforts. You will work closely with cross-functional partners including our communications, partnerships, marketing, and creative teams. You will have the skills and experience to build substantive programs and relationships with internal stakeholders as well as key external policy stakeholders regionally in areas of online safety, wellbeing, and economic impact. You hold a strategic view on how we approach nuances and complexities across Asia, while being able to get deep into the details of an individual project. You relish rolling up your sleeves to get things done personally, while leveraging a wide range of internal stakeholders. Additionally, you are resourceful in coming up with creative solutions and experienced in communicating effectively to diverse audiences. This position is full-time and is located in Singapore.

Responsibilities

  • Design, launch and scale new and existing campaigns of all sizes for Instagram especially around online safety, wellbeing, and economic impact
  • Analyze trends and learnings to develop a regional strategy around the development and implementation of policy programs
  • Build creative partnerships with advocacy groups, academics, industry bodies and top creators
  • Support the creation of communications, educational and marketing materials
  • Work closely with key internal teams including public policy, communications, partnerships, marketing, to advance public knowledge and understanding of Instagram’s policy efforts
  • Drive communications and relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in policy, marketing, communications or a relevant discipline required
  • Experience in developing and executing high-profile technology, corporate, NGO, or policy campaign efforts in the Asia Pacific region
  • 9+ years professional experience
  • Knowledge of Asia Pacific landscape, especially intersecting with areas of online safety, wellbeing, and economic impact
  • Experience in project management, prioritizing across multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment to identify creative solutions within tight timelines, while maintaining productive cross-functional relationships

Preferred Qualifications

  • This role will require the engagement of external stakeholders whose usual business language is in Japanese and/or Korean, hence business level proficiency in either of these languages is a plus
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Prior experience in the technology industry is a plus
